Traditionally, Malaysia is one of the most internationally tradable countries in the world. This is due to Malaysia’s strategic location at the cross roads of East-West trade lanes. In 2015, the country recorded RM1.466 trillion in total trade. Out of this figure, RM779.95 billion were exports and RM685.65 billion were imports. Johor, the southernmost state in Peninsular Malaysia, serves as an international trade gateway in the region and is supported by well-developed “land-sea-air” linkages.
